The Garden offers unpaid internships designed for you to obtain academic credit or credentials to fulfill requirements of an apprenticeship or to experience professional development, perhaps in an area new to your career.  Unpaid interns receive free admission to the Garden, as well as discounts at our retail shops and Sassafras Cafe during the internship period.

Events & Exhibits Intern

Are you looking for real experience at a world-renowned organization to help boost your resume? Our events & exhibits internship is a perfect opportunity to gain real life experience planning and executing public events and special exhibits. The Missouri Botanical Garden and its signature events are easily recognized by interviewers reviewing your resume. Internship Assignment: Our events & exhibits intern will participate in planning, executing and evaluating public events and special exhibits including the Whitaker Music Festival, Garden of Glass at Night, Japanese Festival, and Best of Missouri Market.

Qualifications: Recent grads or students earning their B.A. in Communications or a related field. This position requires a driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Summer Internship dates: 
May – mid-August (3 ½ months) 
Hours: 12 to 20 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends

Compensation: Unpaid, but can be arranged for college credit. Includes free admission to the Garden, its festivals and events, and its off-site family of attractions.
