Blossom End Rot

Tomatoes, peppers and cucurbits are prone to a disorder called blossom end rot. It is not caused by a disease or by insects but rather from environmental and soil conditions that cause the end or bottom of the fruit to become sunken and leathery. Often the condition is not noticed until the fruit is picked.
