How to Repot a Moth Orchid Demonstration

Kemper Center for Home Gardening is continuing the FREE Wednesday Morning Demonstrations for 2016. The format has changed a little this year. We are focusing on the Visual Guides on the Missouri Botanical Garden website.

One of our most popular visual guides is “Repotting a Phalaenopsis or Moth Orchid”. At the upper level of the Kemper Center, is a display with all the material needed along with a narrated slide show. The display is there for the months of February and March, the same time as the Orchid Show in Ridgway Center.

On the last Wednesday of February and March (February 24th and March 30th), Carol Gravens from the St. Louis Orchid Society, will show you step-by-step how to repot an orchid along with the visual guide hand-out. The demonstration schedule is the same as the 2015 Wednesday Morning Demonstrations; drop in anytime between 10 am and noon.

This is your opportunity to ask questions and get advice from one of our orchid experts.

We will post future demonstrations with detailed information every couple of months. Make sure to check the Home Gardening Blog’  located under ‘now in bloom’ on the Garden's home page. Hope to see you at the Kemper Center.

A good resource for garden pests is the Advice, Tips and Resources  page found in Gardening Help. It has detailed information on all the pests that might decide to visit your garden.
