Culture

Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerant of a wide variety of soils. Also tolerant of wind and of many city air pollutants. Intolerant of wet soils.

Noteworthy Characteristics

This eastern red cedar cultivar is a dense, compact-pyramidal, symmetrical tree with ascending branching which grows 15-30' tall. Features bright green foliage which is attractive year-round. Male cultivar.

Problems

Susceptible to bagworms and cedar apple rust. Resists Phomopsis twig blight.

Specimen. Mass for windbreaks or screens. Avoid planting near apple trees or apple orchards.
