Culture

Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers moist, sandy soils. Will tolerate light shade and clay soils.

Noteworthy Characteristics

This Norway spruce cultivar is a dwarf, needled evergreen shrub which has a dense, pyramidal shape. Dark green needles. Slow growing (3-6" per year) to 4' tall by 3' wide (occasionally larger) by seven years. Growth habit and characteristics for this uncommon cultivar are not well documented.

Problems

No serious insect or disease problems. Susceptible to red spiders, spruce gall, aphids, budworms, bagworms and borers.
