Don’t miss your chance to experience the Missouri Botanical Garden at night! Spend a fun-filled evening enjoying activities based on the wonders of nature and the world around you right here in our own backyard. Overnights are a unique opportunity to work toward badge requirements while having the Garden to yourself! Explore the Children's Garden and discover the fascinating world of the Garden at night. We’ll sleep under the stars. Dinner and light breakfast included.

Date/Time: 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 26 to 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 27

Registration: Registration begins Monday, August 3. Registration information will not be accepted prior to this date. All registration materials need to be in to the Scout Instructor no later than Monday, September 7, 2015.

Location: Missouri Botanical Garden

Cost: $45/scout, $30/chaperones. One chaperone per five scouts is required. Full payment and all forms are due at the time of registration. Troops are not considered registered until we have your roster, all health forms and payment. Payment will not be accepted over the phone; all forms must be mailed in. Please do not bring registration materials to the main campus.

At Shaw Nature Reserve

Enjoy a weekend at Shaw Nature Reserve! Choose from a variety of activities including water ecology, night hikes, themed crafts, star gazing and a campfire with s’mores and plenty of hot chocolate! Accommodations provided in the Dana Brown Overnight Center’s delightful historic cabins and new shower facilities. Dinner and light breakfast included. Sign up today—space is limited!

Date/Time: 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 31.  

Location: Shaw Nature Reserve

Cost: $30/scout, chaperones free (two chaperones per troop only). Payment is due at the time of registration.

Registration: Payment will not be accepted over the phone. You must mail in your group's roster, health forms and payment all at once to register.

General Information

SleepoverAll overnights are Saturday to Sunday morning with dinner, a snack and breakfast served.

Cost and number of required chaperones varies per program. See the description for each overnight for details. Payment is due at time of registration.

We must receive the forms and payment at least three weeks prior to your chosen sleepover date.

*Note: Every child/scout in the group must have a completed Participant Agreement & Medical Information form to participate in the overnight.


Cancellation Policy

For Scout Overnight refunds, cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the program. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations less than two weeks in advance or for missed programs. If the Missouri Botanical Garden must cancel a Scout Overnight, you will be notified and receive a full refund.
