Girl Scout Juniors and Cadettes

Bring your Girl Scout year to a close with a fun-filled weekend at the beautiful Shaw Nature Reserve! Choose from a variety of activities including investigating aquatic critters, nature hikes, themed crafts, telescope viewing, night exploration and, of course, roasting s’mores! Activities will be grouped according to scout levels. Accommodations provided in the Dana Brown Overnight Center’s historic cabins and new shower facilities. A barbecue dinner and light breakfast included. Sign up today—space is limited! 

Date/Time: 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 15

Location: Shaw Nature Reserve

Cost: $30/scout, required chaperones free (one chaperone per ten scouts is required); additional chaperones $15/each. Payment is due at the time of registration.

At Missouri Botanical Garden

Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors

Don’t miss your chance to experience the Missouri Botanical Garden at night! Spend a fun-filled evening enjoying activities based on the wonders of nature and the world around you right here in our own backyard. Overnights are a unique opportunity to work toward badge requirements while having the Garden to yourself! Explore the Children's Garden and discover the fascinating world of the Garden at night. We’ll sleep under the stars. Dinner and light breakfast included.

This year features a great letterboxing challenge!  Become a modern day explorer and detective as you decipher clues to find letterboxes hidden throughout the garden.  Have fun working with your troop to win great prizes!  The overnight will also feature great crafts and nighttime activities.

Date/Time: 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 to 9 a.m. on Sunday, October 19

Location: Missouri Botanical Garden

Cost: $45/scout, $30/chaperones. One chaperone per five scouts is required. Payment is due at time of registration.

Badgework: Scouts have the option to complete two requirements for each badge:

Brownies--Letterboxer and Senses
Juniors--Detective and Flowers

General Information

SleepoverAll overnights are Saturday to Sunday morning with dinner, a snack and breakfast served.

Cost and number of required chaperones varies per program. See the description for each overnight for details. Payment is due at time of registration.

We must receive the forms and payment at least three weeks prior to your chosen sleepover date.

*Note: Every child/scout in the group must have a completed Participant Agreement & Medical Information form to participate in the overnight.

 

Cancellation Policy

For Scouting Under the Stars sleepover refunds, cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the program. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations less than two weeks in advance or for missed programs. If the Missouri Botanical Garden must cancel a Scouting Under the Stars Garden sleepover, you will be notified and receive a full refund.
