Missouri Botanical Garden Announces 2017 Summer Exhibit

The Missouri Botanical Garden will play host to floral glass artist Craig Mitchell Smith next summer during its Garden of Glass event. Smith is known for his custom kiln fired technique and style. He uses fusing, texturing, slumping and cold working to create his pieces. Next summer’s exhibit will feature 30 displays, all commissioned specifically for the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Celebrate Chinese Culture Days at the Missouri Botanical Garden

Experience the tradition and customs of Chinese art, music, performances, parades and cuisine during Chinese Culture Days at the Missouri Botanical Garden.  The weekend of festivities kicks off on Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. with a grand parade and opening ceremony featuring a colorful, dancing 70-foot dragon. Traditional martial artists and lion dancers then take center stage and perform to celebrate the annual event.

Best of Missouri Expands to Welcome Midwestern States

The Missouri Botanical Garden announces the 23rd anniversary of the Best of Missouri Market and will now welcome vendors from neighboring states. The BEST OF MISSOURI MARKET & MORE will take place at the Missouri Botanical Garden October 3-5, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Full story.

Missouri Botanical Garden Announces 2015 Lantern Festival

The Missouri Botanical Garden will play host to an international exhibition of 22 lighted works of art from Zigong, China when it debuts “Lantern Festival: Magic Reimagined” in 2015. Following critical acclaim and rave reviews from visitors during the 2012 Festival, the Garden has commissioned new sets crafted from silk and steel to once again offer visitors from around the world the opportunity to see an event rarely staged outside of Asia. Lantern Festival will again be an outdoor, evening display running May 23 to August 23, 2015. Full story.

Celebrate Summer at the Butterfly House

From butterflies to bugs to fireflies to gnomes, visit the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House this summer for fun for the whole family. Now through Labor Day the Butterfly House is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with additional evening programming throughout the summer. The Butterfly House and St. Louis Carousel have partnered to offer the joint Faust Park Fun Pass now through September 1. Visitors can purchase a $10 pass which will include Butterfly House admission and unlimited rides on the St. Louis Carousel. Full story.

Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden Opens for the Season March 29

Leave winter behind and spring into another season of activities at the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden. Families can explore the great outdoors and experience all the Children’s Garden has to offer: a waterfall, steamboat, cave, rope bridges, tree house and more!
