Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is an excellent opportunity for insulation and air sealing companies, heating and air (HVAC) contractors, handyman, and home renovation firms to expand their business. Being a part of Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is also a great way to distinguish qualified companies from their competitors in the market.
A contractor who understands how the house works as a system can diagnose the problems of the whole house and give the homeowner recommendations accordingly. What might have started as a call from a customer wanting just a new furnace can turn into a job that includes an air sealing package, additional insulation, and sealing the ductwork. All of this instead of—or in addition to—the new furnace.
