School Programs & Field Trips

At the Missouri Botanical Garden, we strive to provide teachers and students with activities and field trip options that are as innovative as our grounds are beautiful! Featuring inquiry-based hands-on activities, knowledgeable instructors and fascinating plants, a field trip to the Missouri Botanical Garden is an educational experience your students will remember for a lifetime!

We want to make you aware of some current guidelines as you consider a School Program on-site field trip, which are available Tuesdays–Fridays (the Garden is closed on Mondays). Effective April 1, 2022, the Missouri Botanical Garden has lifted education capacity restrictions and no longer requires students to wear masks.

Construction of the new Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden is continuing throughout the summer of 2022. Student drop off locations have been adjusted during this time; please view and share the printable Bus Parking Instructions map prior to your arrival. Additionally, in the spring of 2022, the west parking lot at the Garden's main entrance will be closed to visitor parking from March 21 through the end of May. If needed.please use the Garden's overflow lots at the intersection of Shaw Blvd. and South Vandeventer Avenue. A free round-trip shuttle service is available from the west overflow lot Tuesday–Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

To learn more about the new visitor center, please view the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center Announcement.

For general questions regarding your day of program operations, please contact the School Programs team via email at schoolprograms@mobot.org.
