Sustainability
The Garden takes every precaution when protecting the environment. All waste is collected and separated into recyclable or landfill receptacles to reduce impact. Furthermore:

  • Garden Glow was carefully designed in coordination with our Horticulture staff to protect our living collection of trees and plants. For this display, cut trees are the more sustainable choice as they help preserve the Garden’s collections and prevent damage to living plants. After Garden Glow, these cut conifers will be chipped and used as wood mulch in the Garden.
  • The lighting displays use energy- efficient LEDs and lights are operated by timers.
