Brian J. Huntley Discusses Botanical Research in Africa

Brian J. Huntley, respected conservation scientist and key leader of the post-Apartheid transformation of plant conservation in southern Africa, recently visited the Missouri Botanical Garden to discuss the long history of botanical exploration of southern Africa, the trials and triumphs of discovery, and the remarkable personalities and plants contributing to what is now regarded as one of the "magnificent seven" botanical gardens of the world.

TROPICOS, the world's largest database of plant information, contains fully web-searchable records for over 1.2 million plant names and nearly 4.1 million specimens.

Over 200,000 plant images are also linked to their records in TROPICOS.
