The Academy of Science—St. Louis has honored Garden president Dr. Peter Wyse Jackson with its 2017 Science Leadership Award, one of its annual Outstanding Scientist Awards recognizing extraordinary caliber of expertise. 

The Science Leadership Award recognizes a distinguished individual — not necessarily a scientist—or organization that has played an important leadership role in the development of science and scientists in the St. Louis region.

Dr. Wyse Jackson will receive the award at a special ceremony on April 6 2017.
