Take the Family Food Challenge!
Designed by Garden educators, horticulturists and scientists, along with assistance from local food experts, the Family Food Challenge is an informative guidebook and journal to help you get the most out of the Garden's Foodology celebration and discover fun ways you can be more involved with the food you eat and maybe even transform your food lifestyle. "At the Garden, we educate and inspire people to appreciate plants as food from botanical, nutritional, historical, geographical, and cultural perspectives," says Garden president Dr. Peter Wyse Jackson. "As a leader in sustainability, the Garden also educates and inspires people to grow more of their own food and become wiser consumers about the food they eat."

Throughout this year and going forward, we invite you to explore the stories of your food, from the ways they are grown, to the ways they are prepared and enjoyed, by whom, and in what circumstances. Celebrate and conserve the plants of the world that nourish us. We hope you will think about and appreciate the plants on your plate in new ways and become inspired to taste, plant, and grow.

Along your journey, we invite you to share your successes and struggles with us and others via Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
