What St. Louis Eats Terms & Guidelines
Share your food stories!
Be a part of a special exhibit inspired by the diverse voices, traditions and cultures of St. Louis by telling us your food story:
  • Photos — Capture an image of a favorite dish, the kitchen where you learned to cook, the market where you find the best ingredients, etc. Include a brief description (150 words or less) describing what makes your image significant.
  • Short Videos — Give us a tour of your vegetable garden, interview your favorite dining companions, walk us through a cherished family recipe, etc.
  • Essays — Describe in 300 words or less your favorite food-related memory or another significant connection that's special to you.

Full Submission Guidelines

  • Images for consideration should be uploaded at actual size at a resolution of 300 dpi.
  • The Missouri Botanical Garden will print selected photographs for exhibition.
  • Selected images/videos and accompanying text may be exhibited at the Missouri Botanical Garden and/or online at www.mobot.org.
  • By submitting content, participants agree that their images/videos/text may be used for publicity purposes for the exhibition. Participants may provide hyperlinks to online portfolios or social media profiles to accompany their entries. 
  • Entries may be submitted via any of the following methods:
  • Deadline for entries is Sunday, August 25, 2013. Participants whose work has been selected for exhibition will be contacted by September 10.
  • Selection of entries for inclusion in the exhibition will be conducted by a community panel selected by the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Terms and Conditions
By submitting an entry, each participant agrees to the rules contained herein and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out. All content should be submitted digitally, although photographs need not be taken with a digital camera (scans of negatives, artwork, transparencies, or photographic prints are acceptable). By submitting an entry, the participant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted material is original work created solely by the entrant and does not infringe on any copyrights, trademarks, rights or privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the content. By submitting content for consideration in the exhibition, you retain copyright to your image, but you grant a non-exclusive license to the Missouri Botanical Garden to display it in the What St. Louis Eats exhibition, related publications, online at www.mobot.org, and to reproduce images for publicity purposes directly related to the project. Selection of entries for inclusion in exhibition or website is solely at the discretion of the Missouri Botanical Garden. The Garden reserves the right to refuse or remove content at its discretion.
