Great Green Adventures

Great Green Adventures are drop-in activities that explore a special part of the Garden each month. Learn about plants, nature and green living through hands-on activities, journaling, stories and games.

Great Green Adventures are designed for ages 6–12. Adults may accompany up to three children. Younger children may attend.

  • 10:30–11:30 a.m. or 1:30–2:30 p.m. 
  • No pre-registration needed
  • Free for Garden members
  • $3 per child (with Garden Admission) for nonmembers

Meet at the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden Ticket Fort unless a different meeting place is specified in the description below.

Winter Color Walk
There may not be many plants blooming, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find color in the Garden. Join us as we search out common, and some not so common, colors in the Garden.

February 18, 2017
Sweet Smells of the Indoor Garden
Join us as we explore the Linnean House, the oldest greenhouse west of the Mississippi. We’ll also be able to enjoy the peak blooming time of the camellias.
