Flies
Categories of flies

Adult flies cause little or no damage to plants but the larvae (maggots) of many feed on plants by tunneling into leaves, stems, fruits and roots. Following are the major categories of fly larvae that damage plants.

  Fruit Maggots and Fruit Flies
  Leaf and Stem Miners
  Midges and Gnats
  Root Maggots
