Chemical Action and Usages: Bifenthrin (Chemical name= (2methyl [1, 1-biphenyl]-3-yl) methyl 3- (2-chloro-3, 3, 3-trifluoro-1propenyl)-2, 2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylate)) is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that has both contact and stomach poison action. It is a non-systemic chemical used to control pests such as ants, silverfish, cockroaches and other household type pests. It is also labeled for ornamental and lawn and garden pests such as aphids, mealybugs, scale, caterpillars, grasshoppers, leafhopper, thrips, whitefly, the Asian multicolored lady beetle and mites, including the Spruce spider mite. Bifenthrin is available in RTU formulations, granules and emulsifiable concentrates.

Toxicity: Bifenthrin is moderately toxic to birds and highly toxic to fish. It is moderately toxic to mammals when ingested. . In humans, harmful if absorbed through the skin. Overexposure to the skin may cause a tingling sensation which may last up to 12 hours.
