Kemper Holiday Decorations!
The Kemper Center for Home Gardening is decked out for the holidays and you don’t want to miss it! Our 15’ balsam fir tree is lavishly decorated with dried flowers harvested from our Kemper Gardens and gourdaments made by staff and volunteers. The theme this year is “Flowers” and there are many spectacular and fun interpretations of the theme. The tree is also covered with Queen Anne’s lace snowflakes, Lambs Ear bows and White Pine cones covered in ‘snow’. Maiden grass plumes complete the Victorian look of this majestic tree.

We also have a wonderful selection of nine different poinsettia cultivars on display and we are running a video of selected Gourdments created in the past 10 years. Don’t miss our usual creative wreaths, festive cinnamon stars, allium seedheads and a special hydrangea Rudolf! Kids who find Henry hidden in the tree can take home a reindeer candy cane.

Come and enjoy the decorations, bid on a gourd and have your picture taken in Santa’s sleigh. The decoration and gourd bidding will end at 3 p.m. New Year’s Day so plan to come early.

As usual, a good garden resource is the Advice, Tips and Resources page found in Gardening Help. It has detailed information on gardening problems, plant suggestions, helpful hints, and FAQ.
