Job Requirements:

  • Must be a St. Louis City resident
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and inclement weather
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. occasionally, and carry out potentially physically demanding tasks
  • Must be between the ages of 16–24
  • Must be available to work Saturdays, September 10–December 17
  • must be able to arrive at job site on time

OYC Leadership Crew Restoration Assistants

The OYC Leadership Crew will be offered through the Missouri Botanical Garden in partnership with Great Rivers Greenway. Workdays will be focused on ecological restoration projects including invasive species removal and native garden maintenance.

Restoration Assistants will help control, maintain, and restore native gardens, woodlands, and trails along the Mississippi River throughout St. Louis.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical labor working outdoors in all seasons and during inclement weather
  • Work at times with power equipment and/or carrying loads of up to 60 pounds
  • Knowledge of native and invasive plant species preferred
  • Must be between the ages of 20–24
  • Must be available to work Tuesday–Thursday, September 6–December 16
