New Staff Member Added to EarthWays Center!

As of December 30, 2019 Stacy Arnold officially became a staff member of the EarthWays Center as our new Sustainability Programs- Rainscaping Coordinator! We are thrilled to have her joining our team and supporting Rob Kennedy, who was promoted to Sustainability Programs- Rainscaping Manager on programs and projects.

Stacy has a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Water Resources Management from the University of Montana.  She has been working as the Watershed Coordinator for the Deer Creek Watershed Alliance (DCWA), a project of Missouri Botanical Garden, for almost 10 years. This new position will give her an opportunity to do the work she has been doing for almost a decade as a staff member of the Garden while continuing to work alongside DCWA staff.

As part of her work with DCWA, Stacy helped shape and implement the first voluntary rainscaping incentive program in the St. Louis region to financially assist landowners to rainscape their yards to improve stormwater management.  She coauthored the Rainscaping Guide on the Missouri Botanical Garden website, and she invented an interactive rainscaping demonstration for use at tabling events and festivals that others across the country have requested the specs on for replication.

Stacy loves camping, hiking, and canoeing in her spare time with her favorite companions; her family and dog. She has been assisting with various water quality monitoring and clean-up efforts statewide for almost 15 years as a Missouri Stream Team Program Volunteer.  As a lifelong resident of Missouri, she grew up swimming in and enjoying the multitude of waterways this state has to offer, and now as an adult, she works to protect them!
