Celebrate the rich cultural traditions of Día de los Muertos at this educational event featuring local artists, live performances, and more. 

  • 9 a.m.–noon | Community altar assembly, face painting and mask arts, tissue paper flowers craft activities
    Artists: Nishe Abellana, Luisa Otero Prada, Laissa Santelises 
  • 10 a.m. | Opening remarks
    Introduction to Día de los Muertos traditions with Caroline Romero
  • 10:30 a.m.–noon | The Monarch Butterfly Experience
    Tabling/talks with Olivia Phillips 
  • 11 a.m. | “Celebración de los Flores” Mexican and Hispanic flower dance performance
    Panama Pacifico folkloric dancers and The Dance Society of St. Louis
  • 11:20–11:45 a.m. | Pan de Muerto Tasting
  • Noon | Final Altar Reflection
All activities are included with Garden admission. St. Louis City and County residents receive free admission on Saturdays before noon (proof of residence required).
