The William T. Kemper Center for Home Gardening is home to hundreds of cherished memories inscribed on the bronze and clay bricks of the entry court. An inner circle of bronze bricks is surrounded by a courtyard of engraved clay bricks.

Engraved bricks can commemorate a birthday, wedding, graduation, holiday, retirement, or other special occasion. Bricks are also a meaningful way to honor the memory of a friend, family member, or colleague.

In addition to honoring a special person or occasion, these commemorative bricks also support the Garden and build a tradition of joyful memories.

Ordering information

Engraved clay bricks are $600 for nonmembers or $500 for members. Bricks are engraved with names only in a standard font on two lines of text, with a maximum of 13 characters per line.

Please note: The Garden's dedicated brick program is currently suspended to complete an audit of available spaces. The program will resume later this year.

Opportunities remain to dedicate a butterfly paver at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House or to engrave a Gabouri limestone paver as part of the Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center project.
