Three world-renowned scientists will lead us on a journey of inspiring, real-world conservation success stories in which Saint Louis institutions have played a pivotal role in saving endangered species. Matthew Albrecht
Matthew Albrecht is the Vice President of Conservation & Restoration and Director of the Center for Conservation & Sustainable Development at the Missouri Botanical Garden. He studies the ecology and conservation of at-risk plant species.
Jonathan Losos
Jonathan Losos is the William H. Danforth Distinguished University Professor at Washington University, co-director of the Living Earth Collaborative and Director for Biodiversity of the WashU Center for the Environment. He has spent his career studying the evolution and ecology of lizards, but recently has taken up studies on domestic cats.
Regina Mossotti
Regina Mossotti is the Vice President of Animal Care at the Saint Louis Zoo. She also currently: sits on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (FWS) National Red Wolf Recovery Team, is the Program Leader for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Red Wolf SAFE Program (Saving Animals From Extinction), serves on AZA’s Mexican Wolf and African Painted Dog Management Teams, and is the FWS Mexican Wolf SAFE Pup Foster Coordinator.
