Annual Japanese Festival presents taiko drumming, bon odori festival dancing, martial arts, candlelight walks in the Japanese Garden and more. Aug. 30 and 31; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sept. 1 (Labor Day), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Doors open at 9 a.m. $15 adults (ages 13 and over), $5 children (3 to 12), $5 members. Buy tickets in advance online at www.mobot.org. Regular admission rates to the Children’s Garden apply.
