The Garden is excited to host Founder and Chef of Gourmet Soul, Lavinia McCoy, for a special cooking demonstration as part of our celebration of Juneteenth.
Chef McCoy is a proud Air Force Veteran with 30 years of service. A proud mother of three and 2012 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, College of Culinary Arts, she returned to St. Louis to be closer to home and created Gourmet Soul to be the firs black-owned upscale fine dining restaurant in the St. Louis region. A research team from LoveFood.com recently included the restaurant on its list of the best soul food restaurants in each state.
