CHOOSE FROM THE WIDEST SELECTION OF NATIVE PLANTS AVAILABLE IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA AT SHAW NATURE RESERVE’S WILDFLOWER MARKET
Don’t miss your last chance to get wildflowers to plant this season!
(GRAY SUMMIT): Soon, days will be getting shorter and temperatures will be dropping, so take advantage of your last chance to add to your garden before the season ends!
Stop by the Shaw Wildflower Market and shop for locally produced native plants. Browse hundreds of varieties of annual and perennialwildflowers, ferns, trees and shrubs to use in home landscaping and to attract wildlife, along with both showy and hardy plants for sun or shade. Talk with experts who can answer your questions about native plant gardens.
The Shaw Wildflower Market is geared toward new and experienced gardeners and people looking for locally made products for a greener community, including plants from Missouri Wildflower Nursery, Forrest Keeling and Shaw Nature Reserve.
Beer, wine, food and crafts will be available for purchase. You will also be able to learn about conservation efforts and programs from other non-profit organizations.
The event will be held in the pavilions behind the Bascom House, near the Whitmire Wildflower Garden at Shaw Nature Reserve. The garden is devoted to showcasing native plants in many habitats and design styles. Participants will be able to stroll through the gardens, gaining inspiration from the mature plantings within each area.
The Wildflower Market is planned for rain or shine.
Some vendors will accept credit cards. Cash or check accepted by all vendors.
