MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDEN TO OFFER EVENING HOURS WEDNESDAYS IN APRIL

Extra hours will let visitors enjoy spring blooms at sunset

(ST. LOUIS) Spring forward with the Missouri Botanical Garden all April long with extended hours Wednesday evenings.

The Garden will remain open until 7:30 p.m., with last entry at 7 p.m., every Wednesday in April. Normal Garden hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday.

Turn your April happy hours into “Flower Hours” and enjoy different seasonal blooms each week during a sunset stroll through the Garden. April favorites include cherry blossoms, daffodils, tulips, azaleas, dogwoods, redbuds, crabapples, trillium, and peonies. Take advantage of the botanical background and golden hour to get the perfect spring photo with your family or friends.

Cocktails and assorted beverages will be available for purchase through STLbarkeep and the Garden’s gift shop will remain open. Indoor conservatories will be closed.

Docents will be on hand to answer questions about the Garden’s impressive collection, which includes thousands of bulbs the Garden’s horticulture staff planted in fall in preparation for spring.

Media can find photos and video of spring blooms in this Google folder.
