(CHESTERFIELD) - Throughout the entire month of October, the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House will be transformed into the BOOterfly House. Unlike other Halloween events, the BOOterfly House doesn’t aim to scare, but educate guests on the bugs often deemed scary.

Every day at the BOOterfly House, animals like tarantulas, cockroaches, scorpions, beetles and more will be on display. The BOOterfly House offers a closer look at these misunderstood bugs both behind the glass and through special events and programming in October.

Guests can also see and learn about the unique carnivorous plants from the Missouri Botanical Garden’s living collection and butterflies that wear their own camouflage costumes inside the Tropical Conservatory.
