Many flowering plant genera are named for people, yet only a small percentage honor women. In this talk, Garden botanist Carmen Ulloa takes us on a journey through the botanical record, revealing the rare but fascinating women honored in the world of plant taxonomy. She also introduces an open dataset that brings these women to light, making it easier for their stories to be discovered and celebrated.
