Private Functions

Celebration packages are available Tuesday through Sunday, with daytime and evening options. The Butterfly House offers several unique indoor and outdoor spaces that can accommodate a wide range of events. Our Celebration packages are perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, cocktail hours, celebrations of life, corporate events, and more. 

 

Tropical Conservatory

The Tropical Conservatory is a glass-enclosed, tropical green space filled with exotic plants and flowers, abundant natural light, and over 1,500 butterflies in free flight. This space is perfect for intimate, special occasions, such as engagements, photoshoots, and celebrations of life. Capacity is 25 guests. Please note that food, live flowers, and outside decorations are prohibited from entering the Tropical Conservatory.

Availability

One-hour rental available at one of the following times:

  • 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. (Offered September through February)
  • 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. (Offered February through October)

Emerson Theater

The Emerson Theater is a versatile, sound-proofed and carpeted space located off the main Exhibit Hall. This space often features rotating photo galleries and is equipped with a wall-mounted, 54-inch screen that can be utilized for presentations and slideshows. Capacity is 35 guests.

Availability

Two-hour rental available at one of the following times:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Four-hour rental available at the following time:

  • 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Lopata Learning Lab

Our indoor classroom space is perfect for small groups, featuring original artwork by Marlene Lewis. The Lopata Learning Lab is equipped with a projector that can be used for presentations or slideshows. Capacity is 24 guests.

Availability 

Two-hour rental available at one of the following times:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Four-hour rental available at the following time:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Exhibit Hall

A variety of animals including insects, arachnids, and other bugs from around the world are on display in the Exhibit Hall and are rotated seasonally. Additional exhibits include a feature on how we source our butterflies and other seasonal, educational displays. Capacity is 50 guests.

Availability

Two-hour rental available the following time:

  • 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Bayer Pavilion

This stone pillar pavilion sits on the uppermost level of our lush Native Butterfly Garden, where our horticulture team maintains a beautiful display of colorful flowers and plants in the surrounding beds. Capacity for daytime celebrations is 35 guests. Capacity for evening celebrations is 50 guests.

Availability 

The Bayer Pavilion is available to rent May through mid-October. Two-hour rental available at one of the following times:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Four-hour rental available at the following time:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
