Imaging Lab

Expert technicians in the Library's Imaging Lab use specialized scanning stations to digitize books, historic documents and photographs from the Garden Archives, and more.

The Library's Imaging Lab has digitized more than 8,000 volumes–approximately 2.5 million pages!–from the Library's collections making them freely available to the world at the Biodiversity Heritage Library.

Book Conservation Lab

The Book Conservation Lab is critical to the survival of the Library's collections. Beyond conserving content and ensuring that materials continue to be useable; the Library's Book Conservator also maintains the cultural and historical significance of each book.
