Native Plant School is a year-round series of classes taught by the horticulture staff at Shaw Nature Reserve and covers various aspects of native landscaping. Native Plant School classes are supported by the Missouri Department of Conservation and the St. Louis Wild Ones Chapter.
Horticulturist and flower farmer Joan Klingensmith will walk you through the basics of native cut flower gardening, including plant selection, design, and maintenance. You’ll then get a short demonstration on floral arranging, and a chance to arrange your own! Bring a small to medium vase to class and bring it home full of beautiful native flowers.
