Zero Waste Ambassadors
Where is away? What is compost? What happens at a MRF? Ever ask yourself these questions? Do you know the answers? Interested in learning more about waste and how we can help the environment by practicing our 3R's at all times - even during big events and festivals?
Join staff from the EarthWays Center of the Missouri Botanical Garden to learn how to be the best zero-waste ambassador you can be! Get a basic understanding of waste - including an overview of landfills, recycling centers, and composting operations, gain experience talking to others about waste, and so much more. Volunteer as a Zero Waste Ambassador at Chinese Culture Days on May 21 or 22. Not only will you helping the Garden divert waste, but you will be able to attend the events for free before or after your shift! Register for a volunteer shift at http://www.mobot.org/volunteer.
2022 Green Living Festival
Help your family, friends and coworkers live green! The Missouri Botanical Garden’s annual Green Living Festival is back in person and will be hosted in a series of pop-up events during a “Summer of Sustainability” at institutions throughout the heart of St. Louis.
Join experts at five events throughout the summer to dive into a day of learning, exploring and engaging in ideas for sustainable lifestyles.

- History Museum – July 9
- Saint Louis Zoo – July 30
- Saint Louis Art Museum – August 13
- Missouri Botanical Garden – September 17
To enhance these pop-up events, we would love to present some volunteer opportunities at each location such as staffing a Welcome Table! Stayed tuned for details!
