News from the EarthWays Center

The EarthWays Sustainability Network (ESN) is a year-long teacher professional development program that serves to provide waste and recycling support to educators throughout the St. Louis community. Get to know this season's network of trained educators dedicating time to learning more about waste, waste reduction, and recycling, taking a leadership role in their school's efforts to reduce waste, and providing peer support and guidance to other educators.

Children understand sustainability as a natural part of the preservation of our planet. All it takes is a little nudge from their teachers, and they enthusiastically embrace sustainability practices in their schools. EarthWays Center staffers serve as program mentors for schools participating in the U.S. Green Building Council-Missouri Gateway Chapter’s 2016-17 Green Schools Quest. This is a challenge based opportunity for schools to implement low to no-cost sustainable solutions at their school.
