Calling all local educators! As a token of our appreciation, the Missouri Botanical Garden and its family of St. Louis-area sites have planned a special week just for you. All formal and informal educators from PreK-higher education, school administrators, staff and faculty, and homeschool parents are welcome. Bring your family and enjoy some fresh inspiration for connecting your students with nature in new ways.

Educator Appreciation Day at Shaw Nature Reserve
Saturday, September 14 | 1–3 p.m.
Free for the whole family | Registration required (see below)

  • Enjoy a free day at Shaw Nature Reserve to explore Missouri’s ecosystems
  • Preview a variety of nature-based STEM activities
  • Learn ways to connect students to the great outdoors
  • Educators from Shaw Nature Reserve will be on hand to share information about field trip experiences for grades PreK–12, including overnight programs.

Educator Appreciation Evening at Missouri Botanical Garden

  • Educators enjoy free admission to Garden Party Lights*
  • Enjoy the Biergarten, Children’s Garden, and multimedia displays across Garden grounds
  • Visit the PlantLab to learn programs for students, teachers, schools, and districts
  • Interact with Education staff from our St. Louis-area sites

* Educator Appreciation Evening at the Garden occurs during Garden Party Lights, our special nighttime event. Your registration includes ONE free ticket to Garden Party Lights. Additional tickets can be purchased at the door ($16; $3 children 3-12; free children 2 and under).
