Seasonal menus include delicious Garden-themed salads, sandwiches, soups, and snacks, with daily specials and a kids' menu for the little ones. Sassafras prides itself on obtaining as much locally sourced products as are available, and the results are evident in the fresh, vibrant flavors of the season.
Regular hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; lunch served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Seating: 130 inside; 100 outside.
Sassafras became the first Certified Green RestaurantTM in the state of Missouri in 2008. The official designation was made by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), a national non-profit organization whose mission is “to create an ecologically sustainable restaurant industry.”
