Wilderness Wagon
Saturday and Sunday afternoons in May and October (weather permitting), the Wilderness Wagon will depart the Visitor Center on the hour: 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

The narrated wagon ride travels the three-mile Trail House Loop Road, with stops at the Trail House and wetland bus stop ($1 per person). It’s a great way to shorten the hike to the river or to the wetlands if you have small children or non-hikers in your group. Get off at either stop and get picked up later! Group tours are also available on the Wilderness Wagon.

The first stop on the Wilderness Wagon Tour is the Maritz Trail House, located by the Cresent Knoll Overlook and the Sod House. This is where you should disembark for a walk to the river.

The second stop on the Wilderness Wagon Tour is the Gardenway Bus Stop. Near the bus stop is the Wetland Complex.

It is also fun to stay on for the whole one-hour narrated tour to see and learn from the comfort of an elevated seat ($1 per person)!
