Originally inspired by the Dred Scott case and now reimagined at the George Washington Carver memorial in the Missouri Botanical Garden, this living art honors Black resilience, history, and creativity. Through locally grown blooms and community collaboration, Black Flora tells a story of struggle, perseverance, and joy—paying tribute to icons like Scott and Carver while inspiring hope for future generations.
Opening ceremony Saturday, June 14 at 11 a.m. in the George Washington Carver Garden. Display on view through Sunday, June 15. Included with Garden admission.
