This event takes place Saturday, July 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Saint Louis Zoo (One Government Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110).

Entrance to the Green Living Festival is included with regular entry to the Saint Louis Zoo where general admission is FREE.

As they say, when life gives you Dandelions…make roasted Dandelion Root tea!

Water reduction has been an intensive focus at the Zoo for almost twenty years! In that time, water consumption across the campus has been reduced by over 70 percent and Life Support Systems are a crucial strategy to be water wise. Receive a tour of these systems and the animals that are impacted!

Come explore our table top stream ecosystem to get a closer look at life under the water that can be impacted by what we do in our yards. Plus get information on funds for rainscaping that improves water quality and benefits aquatic life in your own yard. Rainscaping is sustainable landscaping that supports local wildlife and restores urban stream health by increasing water infiltration rates and reducing runoff.

Continuous forest canopies are important for all primates. Stop by to contribute to our group art project and add your pledge to protect forests.

Check out a traveling bench made of recycled materials. The bench, produced by Ranken Technical Institute and made of Trex® materials, serves as a visual reminder that responsible recycling of plastic bags and wraps—the number one contaminant in the single-stream recycling process—matters. The first 300 guests will receive a colorful reusable bag.
