Noon		A Short hiSTORY of Ecology as told by "Green Jean" Ponzi, Missouri Botanical Garden Ecology is all about Relationships! How did this very recent science evolve after generations of understanding life from "specimen collections"—and how can we benefit from eco-logically relating to our many kinds of fellow Earthlings? Register
1 p.m.		Green Burial Richard Lay, Vice-President Customer Relations, Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum Curious about green burial but don’t know what or who to ask? Join Richard Lay of St. Louis’s historic Bellefontaine Cemetery as he provides a closer look at green burial practices, dispels myths, and explores some fascinating options available throughout the world. 3 p.m.		Mexican Wolf Conservation Danna Hilleren, Endangered Wolf Center Spend time with the Endangered Wolf Center, and learn how this group is actively working to preserve wolf species within our region, the value of having wolves in wild spaces, and the collaborative work it takes to get there. Register

2 p.m.		Forest Park Environmental History Amanda Clark, Community Tours Manager, Missouri History Museum Learn the history of how St. Louis has managed the balance between nature and people for almost 150 years, from taming the River Des Peres to restoring the prairies and more. Register

10:30 to 11 a.m.		Cuentos en el Museo/Story Time Storytelling programs at the Missouri History Museum engage our youngest visitors and their families with songs, movement, traditional and contemporary storybooks, and local history. Our Cuentos en el Museo program brings together our storytelling program with a Spanish-English reader. The theme for July 9 is fruit/frutas. Yum! Summer is the best time to enjoy fresh fruit.
11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.		Drop-in Craft Workshop: Fruit-inspired Recycled Collage Join us after Cuentos en el Museo to make a special collage creation. We’ve collected a variety of used colored paper and packaging so that you can recycle them using your artistic skills to create a fruit-inspired collage.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.		Bags 2 Bench Check out a traveling bench made of recycled materials. The bench, produced by Ranken Technical Institute and made of Trex® materials, serves as a visual reminder that responsible recycling of plastic bags and wraps—the number one contaminant in the single-stream recycling process—matters. The first 300 guests will receive a colorful reusable bag.
