Open year-round, the Brookings Exploration Center offers visitors of all ages interactive, multimedia opportunities to learn about plants, the places they grow, how people rely on them, and the importance of protecting them.
Get an up-close look at what's living in soil, create a symphony with the sounds of nature, retreat to the Family Tree Area and read a book or take part in hands-on activities in our new maker space.
PlantLab
Designed as an energizing, creative hub for plant science, investigative learning, critical thinking and discovery, the 1,100-square foot PlantLab offers a year-round experiential learning space for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to:
- Engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences
- Connect with the Garden's plant science mission in new and meaningful ways
- Discover experiences you can recreate in your own classroom, home, and community
- Gain inspiration and ideas for increasing plants and biodiversity in the greater St. Louis region
