Welcome to the team, Simon!

posted on
Look for a new face at EarthWays: We recently welcomed Simon Warren as our new Education and Volunteer Coordinator. Simon brings great experience to our team: He helped to prepare the City of New Orleans’ greenhouse gas inventory and worked with biogas projects in Yunnan province in the People’s Republic of China; conducted research to identify risks to the use and supply of metals, and was an 8th grade science teacher and science content facilitator in Memphis, Tennessee. A native New Yorker, Simon earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Yale. He recently relocated to St. Louis with his fiancée, pet snake and potted eggplant. He loves riding his bike, rowing boats, learning foreign languages (Mandarin and French) and eating any food that isn’t cake.

Simon is already spearheading some great programs for our K-12 schools and universities and he is eager to meet EarthWays volunteers. Come share a cup of coffee or tea with Simon, enjoy his enthusiasm and good cheer and find out about upcoming opportunities when he hosts an upcoming Meet n’ Greet. He can be reached by calling (314) 577-0281 or email.
