EarthWays Center is proud to have collaborated with Open Space STL for another year of Trash Bash events. Open Space STL is an organization dedicated to working collaboratively to conserve and sustain land, water, and other natural resources for the health and well-being of people throughout St. Louis.
Open Space STL takes the lead in organizing Trash Bash events annually. These events are a great opportunity for community members to get involved in picking up trash along the waterways in the St. Louis region. In the fall, the focus is on the River des Peres watershed while the spring clean-up focuses on the Confluence region near the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. For the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 events, EarthWays Center helped to recruit schools to join the Trash Bash events. In the fall, 9 schools participated in clean-ups and in the spring, 7 schools participated. Check out their efforts in the 2023 Confluence Report: ConfluenceTrashBash2...
Join Open Space STL for the 56th annual Operation Clean Stream on Saturday, August 26. By boat or boot, you can volunteer to help clean the Meramec River and its tributaries.
