Backyard Kitchen Wednesdays

Backyard Kitchen Wednesdays
Wednesdays at the Kemper Center are known as Backyard Kitchen days, because each week a presenter shows what’s edible and growing at Missouri Botanical Garden!

From 10 a.m. until noon, visitors can make a trip to the Kemper Center for Home Gardening to see three unusual plants on display, along with bite-sized samples of these plants for anyone to taste-test. At the same time,Garden staff and volunteers will lead “What’s Growing Now” tours of the demonstration fruit and vegetable gardens. These tours can give visitors ideas on how to turn their own yard into an extension of their kitchen.

This coming Wednesday, July 17th, June Hutson will be presenting on tasty treats from the Herb Garden. Visitors will be able try the herbs and receive information about how to grow, harvest and prepare them.
