Creating Nature Connects

Sean Kenney building a butterfly with LEGO bricks

A bald eagle, butterfly, lily and ducks will be among the subjects of Nature Connects. In total, the 12 installations of this nature-themed exhibit will feature 25 individual LEGO brick sculptures designed and created by New York City artist Sean Kenney. More than 300,000 LEGO brick pieces will be used in the construction of the exhibit.

This new Nature Connects show will make its debut at the Missouri Botanical Garden, and is commissioned by Reiman Gardens at Iowa State University. It follows several popular appearances of the original Nature Connects show, which is currently touring botanical gardens around the country.
