2019 has been a challenging year for our sunflowers. Cool weather and rain, rain, rain made for a difficult start in our Old North site. Still, perseverance and consistent attention has yielded, and continues to yield interesting results.
Sunflowers which germinated in May have flowered and gone to seed and those planted in June should flower later this August. The little site we share with The Sweet Potato Project on Union has flowered nicely as well.
