Calling all cool planet kids grades' 5 to 8! Come explore the built environment with the Garden’s sustainability team – The EarthWays Center. In this week-long hybrid day camp, campers will investigate sustainable building design, principles, and concepts as they create their fantasy green home from the inside out. Campers will get to interact with architects and other green building experts from the St. Louis region and virtually discover new sites from around the region!
This is a hybrid camp program. Campers will be at the Missouri Botanical Garden in the morning and interact with guest speakers virtually in the afternoon. Families have the option of choosing a full hybrid program that includes the in-person morning session and the virtual afternoon session or a virtual experience that includes just the afternoon session. All campers will receive a t-shirt and a supply kit to build their green home.
Camp EarthWays is July 12-16. Registration is open now! Send questions to Maggie McCoy at mmccoy@mobot.org.
Many thanks to the St. Louis-Jefferson Solid Waste Management District for making this program available at a lower cost to our participants.
