Green Living Festival
Support EarthWays Center during the “Summer of Sustainability” at the Green Living Festival pop-up events. Volunteer to help greet visitors, stamp Festival passports, or manage workshops at these upcoming dates.
- Saint Louis Zoo – July 30
- Saint Louis Art Museum – August 13
- Missouri Botanical Garden – September 17
Volunteers are needed for the following roles:
Welcome Tables
- 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – 4 volunteers
- 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. – 4 volunteers
These volunteers will welcome all of the visitors to the Green Living Festival. Give families a Festival Passport when they enter. These volunteers should be outgoing and friendly – many visitors may not know the Festival is happening so it is the Greeter’s job to welcome them to the event. Volunteers will be located at tables with seating near the entrance to the event.
Festival Greeters
- 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – 2 volunteers
- 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. – 2 volunteers
These volunteers will help greet visitors to the Green Living Festival. This position is a standing one that will be located near high traffic areas to direct people to the event. These volunteers should be outgoing, friendly, and ready to get people excited about attending the Festival.
Passport Stamper
- 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – 1 volunteer
- 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. – 1 volunteer
These volunteers will use an ink pad and stamp to add a stamp for the event date they are working on the passport rack cards. This is a seated position at a tabletop and could be at an exhibitor table. This volunteer should be ready to engage with guests seeking a stamp and answer general questions. A different color stamp will be used for each event. Once visitors get stamps at THREE of the FIVE pop-up events, they can turn in their passports to register for prizes.
Workshop Assistants
- 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – 1 volunteer
- 1:30 to 4 p.m. – 1 volunteer
These volunteers assist the presenters at each event. Make sure the seating is set up properly and that the room is clean. There will be a list of presenters and their presentation titles. Announce the presenter and title at the beginning of each session. Make sure the presentations begin and end on time, with some time for questions.
