Tuesdays | June 4, 11, 18, and 25 | 5–8 p.m.
Free for members; no registration required

Join us any and all Tuesday nights in June for members-only acces to the Garden. Each week offers a different theme with special activities, docent-led tours, visits from community partners, and free play and pot-a-plant stations in the Doris I. Schnuck Childrens' Garden.

No registration is required; simply bring your membership card for free entry. Regular admission rates apply for nonmember guests. For more information, contact or (314) 577-5118.

Important event notes:

  • Food and drink will not be served at Member Tuesday Nights (unless otherwise noted), and Sassafras cafe will not be open.
  • The Garden Gate Shop will be open during Member Tuesday Nights.
  • Member Tuesday Nights take place in June only.
Weekly Schedule of Offerings:
June 4 | Member Family Picnic
Kick off the month at this annual members' party. This week only, bring your own picnic or purchase one from us and enjoy live music, face painting, children's activities, and more. This event is presented by the Garden Members' Board. Learn more. 
June 11 | Stop and Smell the Roses
Roses were special to Garden founder Henry Shaw and remain a beloved part of our living collections today. Come learn about our two rose gardens from our Horticulture team and enjoy a special evening installment of the Member Speaker Series to learn about rose selection and care from expert Diane Bruekckman of Rosey Acres.

June 18 | Art in the Garden
Discover art all around the Garden! Explore the new exhibit Leafing through History: Plants that Make Paper with curator Nezka Pfiefer in the Stephen and Peter Sachs Museum. Enjoy art-making activities from Artscope and live artist demonstrations and music around the grounds until 7 p.m.

June 25 | Water, Water Everywhere
Our final Member Tuesday Night focuses on water, water gardening, and the Garden's impressive collection of aquatic plants. Learn about the care of aquatic plants live from the reflecting pools with Derek Lyle, nursery senior manager. Splash around in the Children's Garden with fun activities to beat the summer heat.
