Description

Conservation at the Missouri Botanical Garden extends beyond protecting plant species and their natural environments. It also includes preserving the books and historic documents of the Garden's Peter H. Raven Library, which contains rare items that may be over 600 years old! Susie Cobbledick will share how the staff of the Library's book conservation lab repair and treat materials to prolong their existence and use in our global research, explaining why her workspace is a cross between a bindery and a chemistry lab.

This members-only event will take place in Shoenberg Theater.

Seating is limited, and reservations are required.
